Our text books

 

Each text book works with a bar code that is allocated to the student after registration and payments are received. Each student pays a Key deposit of 190 of which R50 will be a book rental fee, and the R140 key deposit that will be paid back to the student when the text books are returned after the June Examinations but only if returned in the same condition as it was given. The student will be asked to sign an agreement with Terms and Conditions.  Here below are the terms and conditions as stipulated in the agreement.

 

Terms & Conditions:

• This agreement states that while attending classes at Smart Caps Education and Training, the student mentioned will agree that the text books with the mentioned bar codes will be returned in the same condition as received.

• The student also acknowledges that there is a key deposit fee of R190 per Text book that is payable immediately on the day of receiving the text books stipulated, and that R140 per text book will be paid back on the day that the textbooks are returned. The student also understands that R50 will be deducted from each text book deposit for Textbook rental. These funds will be used to mend and restore any damaged text books.

• Smart Caps Education and Training reserves the right to keep the key deposit if the book is not returned in the same manner as it was given, or if the book was lost or stolen, as the key deposit will then be used to purchase a new text book, and the student will be liable for any other charges or increases of the purchase price.

• In the event that the student has lost the Text book or it was stolen in the time of use and the set period of time for the classes we not completed, the key deposit will then be used to purchase a new text book, and the student will be liable for any increase in the purchase amount, and will be expected to again pay a key deposit for the new copy of the text book, in which the student will be refunded for the text book on the day it is returned and the book is in the same condition as it was received. If Smart Caps is unsatisfied with the state the book is returned, then reserves the right to withhold the key deposit in order to replace the text book/s in question.

• The student also acknowledges that text books are not allowed to leave the premises where the classes are held if a key deposit is not paid, as it remains the property of smart caps Education & training.

• The student is also advised that a security check will be done on the arrival, and when leaving of the learning area. This is done in order to ensure the safety of the text books, and to avoid any legal action that can be taken for illegally having a text book in their possession.

• The student also acknowledges that in the event of having the text books illegally in their possession without having paid a Key deposit, and the information is not capture in regards to having any of the above mentioned text books in their possession will be prosecuted, and will face legal action against them.
